Brigadier, Sir David Linienblatt takes command!

Town's people cheer as Brigadier, Sir David Linienblatt, inhader of the Beerstein Honourable Pensioners, takes command of the Beerstein Foreign Legion. He will enter the Barony of Brewski and defend the River Ales approaches.

His force will include the Dun Haggis Highlanders, the Monte-Cristo Vivandieres, and the St. Pauli Pontooniers, who will span the River Ales to gain entry into the Barony of Alesgarden if necessary.

Sir David's force will also include three squadrons of cavalry and Bree's Battery.

Oh ho! I spot a Saxe-Bearstein flag! The unit in the red coats with white legs in the first photo are sporting an older version of the Saxe-Bearstein Infantry Regiment von Carling's flag.

It is the Red/Black/Gold one with the S-B red bear on gold in the center.

IR von Carling changed from brass buttons/yellow hat tape to pewter buttons/white hat tape which changed their flag's gold to white.

At any event, Furst Bruno von Ursa (S-B's ruler) has no objection to your use of this old flag . . . indeed he takes it as a bit of a compliment.

The people of Saxe-Urquhart are proud to see their flag also flying in support of this noble cause!

And kudos to Sir David's promotion to commander of the force! A wise choice. His attention to detail should provide for a well-arranged defense.

The people of Tippelbruder will be watching closely to see how well David Linienblatt can do in this campaign - the honour of Tippelbruder is at stake!

And David Linienblatt hopes to justify the trust put in him in this appointment (and thanks to FB for his confidence too).

Alea iacta est! It is now in the laps of the dice Gods...
